Meet The Doctors



Dr. David Merritt, DDS

Dr. Merritt is a graduate of Norfolk High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and D.D.S. Degree from the University Of Nebraska Medical Center College Of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Merritt served in the U.S. Navy from 1996 until 2000 as a Dental Officer. While in the Navy, he completed a General Practice Residency at Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, IL. After his Navy commitment, Dr. Merritt returned to Norfolk where he joined Norfolk Dental Group. Dr. Merritt is very active in his community and is involved in many different organizations. Dr. Merritt is married to Heidi who is a nursing instructor at Northeast Community College and they have two daughters.


Dr. Brittany Albers, DDS

Dr. Brittany Albers is a dedicated general dentist who is proud to serve the Norfolk, Nebraska community she calls home. Born and raised in Norfolk, Dr. Albers has deep roots in the area and a genuine passion for caring for the people and families in her community. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Since graduating, Dr. Albers has dedicated herself to continuing education incomprehensive and cosmetic dentistry, reflecting her commitment to life long learning and providing the highest standard of care for her patients. Dr. Albers believes dentistry is about more than teeth—it’s about trust, relationships, and improving quality of life. She takes pride in creating awel coming, comfortable environment and working closely with patients to help them feel informed, confident, and at ease. Her approach emphasizes conservative, ethical treatment and long-term oral health, while also helping patients achieve smiles they are proud of. Outside of the office, Dr. Albers is a wife and mom, roles she considers her greatest joys and responsibilities. She understands the importance of caring for patients as individuals and families, and she strives to treat every patient with the same level of care, compassion, and respect she would expect for her own loved ones. Dr. Albers is honored to continue building lasting relationships within the Norfolk community and looks forward to serving patients for many years to come.
